The Elves wanted to create a sauerkraut that had our own special touch and tone down the sauer (sour). We start with authentic barrel cured sauerkraut. Next we mix in our tasty Applewood Smoked Bacon and bits of apple. But we don't stop there...we also add brown sugar, onions and caraway seeds. Then we slowly simmer to allow all the special flavors to blend together. When fully cooked the result is a more tender, sweeter, irresistible sauerkraut. We are proud to say...this is truly the perfect complement to our sausage.
