Hessische Landleberwurst is very well flavored and coarser than regular liverwurst. The nice liver flavor paired with the smokiness is something to be enjoyed with your favorite cracker or artisan bread, and of course, a brown or Dijon mustard. But if you happen to order it in the store, just order "smoked liverwurst". Some of the folks behind the counter seem to be unfamiliar with "Hessische Landleberwurst".
